Description of the Project

Drupal portal site designed to provide an easy method of locating and identifying all social economy-related stakeholders, products and services, details of which are processed and constantly updated in a CiviCRM environment. This approach opens new doors to the many advocacy, non-profit and non-governmental organisations that currently use CiviCRM to administer their relationships with members and target groups.

The Challenge

Create a portal website that:

• deeply integrates with legacy database of all social economy organisations, managed with CiviCRM
• can easily share data externally, through a link from the CiviCRM database to other websites
• offers highly performing and various search possibilities
• automatically shows related items for each type of information

Connexion's Solution

• Development of an interface module in Drupal, to integrate existing CiviCRM data
• Extended use of Drupal taxonomy to optimize advanced search potential, via Drupal views, as well as related items presentation
• Implementation of geomapping, using custom provincial and municipality maps for search queries and Google maps for search results
• Fully automated integration of social economy data in external websites: a selection of the CRM data managed by Vosec has been put into a separate Drupal graphics theme based on style sheets from the provant.be website (see
  http://www.provant.be/ondernemen/sociale_economie/catalogus/).
